The President of ARMA (Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture) announced today that from March 11 till the end of the current year, it will be possible to submit applications for aid for operations of the “Investments restoring the potential of agricultural production” type under the “Support for investments in restoration of agricultural land and restoration of agricultural production potential damaged by disasters, unfavourable climatic phenomena and disasters” sub-measure under RDP 2014-2020.
Support may be granted to farms where, in the year of submitting the application for aid or in at least one of the two years preceding the year of submitting the application:
– there was damage caused by at least one of the random events mentioned in Article 3 sec. 2 items 2-6 and 8-11a of the Act of July 7, 2005 on Insurance of Agricultural Crops and Livestock (Polish Journal of Laws Dz.U. of 2019, item 477), and that damage as estimated by the commission appointed by the competent voivode in a given calendar year amounts to:
- at least 30% of the average annual agricultural production generated by the farm in the three years preceding the year in which the damage occurred, or in three out of the five years preceding the year in which the damage occurred, excluding the year with the highest and lowest production on the farm for agricultural crops and farm animals within the meaning of the Act of December 10, 2020 on the Organization of Breeding and Reproduction of Farm Animals (Polish Journal of Laws Dz.U., item 36), or fish
- it concerns a farm component whose reconstruction requires incurring costs eligible for support,
– the district veterinarian ordered this farmer, by way of a decision, to kill pigs or destroy pig carcasses for the purpose of eradicating African swine fever in connection with the designation of the farm of which he is the owner as an outbreak of this disease in accordance with the provisions on animal health and combating contagious animal diseases or due to the location of the farm in an infected or endangered area, established in accordance with the provisions on the protection of animal health and combating infectious animal diseases, and:
- on the day of issuing the above-mentioned decision, the pigs subject to that decision represented at least 30% of the pigs owned by the farmer, and
- after implementing that decision at the location of the herd within the meaning of Article 2 sec. 1 item 12 of the Act of April 2, 2004 on the System of Identification and Registration of Animals (Polish Journal of Laws Dz.U. of 2020, item 2001 and of 2021, item 36) where the pigs subject to that decision were kept the farmer no longer keeps pigs.
The maximum amount of the support that a farmer may receive for “Investments recreating the potential of agricultural production” in the entire implementation period of RDP 2014-2020 is PLN 300,000 per beneficiary and per farm; however, it cannot exceed 80% of costs eligible.
